Before 2013, Heineken USA’s sales team spent the majority of their time cooped up in offices logging data. After deciding to swap laptops with iPad, Heineken gave us a simple brief: Use technology to make selling beer more efficient. We shadowed sales reps studying their interactions with clients, and opportunities where a tablet could really empower them, not slow them down. We designed the UX/UI and worked with a development team to build a multifunction app that allows reps to manage accounts, catalog distribution, and compare pricing models on the fly.
