Creative Agency Awards
Big ups to the guys (and gal) at Mojave for being one of this year’s top 99 creative agencies. 2009 was a great year, and hopefully it was foreshadowing bigger and better things for 2010.
The book is available for purchase here.

Hello Brooklyn.
After a year long stint in San Francisco, life has brought me back to the east coast. There are so many great reasons to spend time in California, between the gorgeous scenery and mild weather, the locals seem to be more relaxed. Oh, and the burritos are amazing too. Anyway, here’s to (at least) the next year in Brooklyn!

Here are some of my personal SF favorites from the past year:

Coming home from a long day on the road.

Thursday’s market at the Galleria.

Another normal day.

Dusk on Fisherman’s Wharf.

Monterey Bay aquarium.

Haiti Poster Gallery
The boys over at The Infantree are putting together a benefit show for Haiti by calling artists to donate 20 printed posters that will be sold at $25.00 a piece. Details are here. Are there any printers out there that want to sponsor one of my designs?
2010 Vancouver Olympic Medals
Last week the new winter Olympic medals were unveiled. They feature artwork by Corrine Hunt and were designed by Omer Arbel.

Classic fitted caps
I’m loving what San Francisco-based designer Barry Lai has done with his version of Estate LA’s “area code collection”. I wish I knew where I could get my hands on one.
My tattoo fascination continues…
I’ve been wanting a tattoo for a long time. The reason that I haven’t committed to inking myself is two-fold…
1. It’s my job:
The visual space is my profession. I spend 50+ hours a week not only creating images, but also researching various graphic styles. Because I’m constantly pushing myself to evolve as a designer, I find that my taste is constantly evolving as well – some visuals I loved last year have become mundane. Certain design elements are timeless, however, I can’t imagine having a mark on my body that I’m bored off looking at.
On a side note, I’d probably get more cred as a creative in the industry with a few marks.
2. I’m a giant pansy:
This point needs minimal explanation – I hate needles.
Otherwise, I’m totally infatuated with script tattoos. Here are a few that are particularly nice.
